The international “Open Science” program supports projects in the Humanities and Social Sciences that use and develop digital formats (web-based or offline) for publishing scientific content. It supports projects in various stages of development, cross-disciplinary and cross-sector collaborations, and project consulting in the area of science communication. Monographs and open access anthologies do not fall within the scope of the program’s funding.

With its program, the ZEIT-Stiftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius is committed to the field of science communication, in order to promote and help shape the exchange between science and the public. The goal is a diverse, visible and effective dissemination of scientific content.

Consisting of experts in science communication and academic publishing, an advisory board of scholars from the fields of Humanities and Social Sciences advises the ZEIT-Stiftung in developing the program and selecting the projects eligible for funding.
