Gerd Bucerius Scholarships (Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben)

A study trip, a master-class or participation in a competition can quickly become expensive, especially if it takes place abroad. At the same time, international experience and artistic exchange are important for young musicians. After completing their initial training at a German music academy, many young musicians seek to refine their skills at artistic hubs and renowned institutions such as the Juilliard School in New York or London’s Guildhall School, where they can continue to develop their artistic expression alongside experienced teachers and soloists.

With the Gerd Bucerius Scholarships, the ZEIT STIFTUNG BUCERIUS has been supporting highly talented young musicians since 1999, thereby enabling them to study abroad or take part in master-classes and competitions. The scholarships are awarded annually together with the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben
